REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) would examined four witnesses related to corruption case of social funds in Secretariat General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).  

"Four people would be examined as witnesses to the suspect of Sri Utami (SU)," said the Spokesperson of KPK, Febri Diansyah, on Wednesday (April 26).

The people were staff of staffing subdepartment in staffing and organization bureau of ESDM Ministry Janih, Technical Manager of Plaza Centris Building of PT PP Dirganeka Haryono, Director of CV Sinergi Gemilang Teuku Bahagia or Johan, and a state civil worker in ESDM Ministry Erik Zulkarnaen.

KPK has named the former head of center of state assets Management (PPBMN) in ESDM Ministry as a suspect of this case.  

Febri explained that Sri Utami was the coordinator of working units under Secretariat General of ESDM Ministry on 2012. The corruption case involved ESDM Ministry Jero Wacik and former Secretary General Waryono Karno. 

Based on the Supreme Court decision, Jero Wacik was charged with eight years of imprisonment and Rp 300 million of fines. There were also fines for replacement of two years subsidairy detain. 

Waryono Karno got seven years of imprisonment and Rp 300 million of fines. The susidairy detain cost was about Rp 150 million.   

According to Febri, since January, KPK identified some old cases to be followed up. It started to be handle one-by-one.

“SU's name was mentioned and became a fact of trial, so it necessary to be followed up," he said.  

Febry added that there might be new suspects from ESDM Ministry and private sectors.
