Police to process report against Djelantik over comment on TGB case

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MATARAM -- Head of Sub Directorate II of Cyber Crime Unit Darsono Setioaji said there was a report against five accounts related to the incident of an insult to West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) TGH Muhammad Zainul Majdi or widely known as Tuan Guru Bajang (TGB) conducted by Steven Hardisurya Sulistyo.

Police said to follow it up. Hiwever, he asked the legal team of Sovereign Natives Movement to immediately complete the report with evidence.  

"The most important is the evidence, so it makes clear what is actually being reported," said Darsono in Jakarta on Tuesday (April 25). 

Earlier on the same day, lawyers of Sovereign Natives Movement reported five owners of social media accounts to NTB Provincial Police. Coordinator of the movement Abdul Hadi Muchlis said the report included three Facebook accounts owned by Niluh Djelantik, Suparman Bong and Tazran Tarmizi and two Twitter accounts by Cyril Raoul Hakim and Surya Tjia. 

"The accounts said Steven and the incident of insult to NTB Governlr in Singapore is fictive," said Muchlis in NTB Police Headquarters, Mataram, NTB, on Tuesday (April 25).

Muchlis interpreted it as the five accounts implicitly said TGB conducted a public lie.

Meanwhile, the movement advocate, Lalu Saepudin, said such statement has violated Electronic information and transaction laws (UU ITE) for distributing defamation and slander. "We assume the owner of those five social media accounts have manipulated electronic information, as if they have authentic data. In reality, it was clearly a lie," he said.

Lalu deplored the attitude of five social media account owners who made provocative post. Moreover, TGB has tried so hard to cool down the anger of NTB people. TGB also had forgive Steven. "We will provide the evidence to complete report to the police," he said.
