REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesian Police were still investigating the case of toxic liquid attack to senior investigator of Corruption Eradication Commission, Novel Baswedan. Previously, a man captured in the CCTV in Novel’s house was proven not having any relation to the case.

The Spokesperson of National Police Boy Rafli Amar said the police would never give up in revealing the case. He insisted that the case had not been completed.

"The investigation has not been completed, still in progress. Yesterday, we checked it up, there was a result, but indeed, not (the assailants),” he said in his office, South Jakarta on Tuesday (April 25).

Boy said the process of information collection was still in progress. Investigators were collecting even to the smallest evidence to be crosschecked and developed. It included the images of people captured in the CCTV.

According to Boy, the toxic liquid used by the attacker was sulfuric acid H2SO4. It was splashed to Novel face after he took a dawn prayer in a mosque around Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Tuesday (April 11). Novel has been getting intensive treatments in Singaporean hospital after the incident.
