REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The spokesperson of the Jakarta Metro Police Commissioner Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono explained Secretary General of Muslims Forum (FUI) M Khaththath was identified to planned acts to overthrow the government. He said the cleric discussed it in two different locations. 

“The first was at Kalibata and the second meeting was at Menteng,” said Argo in Jakarta Metro Police, South Jakarta, on Sunday (April 2).

Police have been investigating both of the locations. In those places, said Argo, Khaththath conducted meetings with four other suspects. One of their plans was to force the House of Representatives and the Assembly to replace the legitimate government. 

Police arrested Khaththath on Friday (March 31) as they were feared to take benefit in the situation of 313 rally which ran well and peaceful. The detaining was the subjectivity of investigators. 

They worried if Khaththath was not detained, the five suspects would flee, destroy the evidence, or to repeat their actions.
