Indonesia can be a strategic partner to Saudi: Jokowi

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) believed Indonesia could be a strategic partner to Saudi Arabia. As Islamic countries, both could have a strong economic cooperation for reaching Saudi’s vision of 2030.

“I am sure Indonesia can be a strategic partner to achieve Saudi Arabia’s vision of 2030 through economic cooperation as Islamic countries,” he said after a bilateral meeting at Presidential Palace, Bogor on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Jokowi welcomed King Salman and the entourages. He said, this was a historical visit for Indonesia. He also stated that Saudi Arabia is one of the most important Indonesian partners in Middle East.

The partnership was developed among the societies and the economic and political relationship. Eleven MoU were signed after the meeting.
