Depok Mayor supports Islamic housing

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DEPOK -- Depok Mayor, Mohammad Idris has supported the development of Islamic housing. The existence of residential area with Islamic concept can be an alternative for people in selected residential areas.

"Muslims also would be very happy if more and more developers will build houses with Islamic concept," Idris said when attend the groundbreaking of the Al-Barak Mosque, Sawangan, Depok, on Tuesday (26/7).

Moreover, in fact, the Islamic residential areas tend to encourage good things to residents by doing various activities that can make closer to Allah SWT.

"Developers should provide facilities and infrastructure that support the spiritual activities. For example placing a mosque on each cluster on housing and provide school based on religion, a big mosque should be built on the entrance of the housing, it is intended that the mosque can be used for public, not only the settlers of its housing," Idris said.

In addition to the concept, other aspects need to be considered and distinguish of Islamic housing with conventional housing is the management and corporate structure involving supervisory board and sharia adviser.
