Man commits suicide from bridge crossing in Bandung

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- A man with no identity suicide at the bridge crossing (JPO) located near Bandung Square, West Java, Friday (1/7). He fell from height of about 10-15 meters.

Eyewitness who is a member of public order agency (satpol PP) Bandung, Sudirman said the man age estimated 50 years. He was on billboards of JPO for an hour before finally was falling to the asphalt road.

Sudirman said before Friday prayers, the man is already above the JPO.

For an hour the residents and the police officers and Satpol PP persuade the perpetrator to get off.

"After Friday prayer, I see a stress man up on the tv in the JPO from before the Friday prayer. I persuade him for one hour to get down but he does not want," Sudirman said.

He said before falling, the perpetrator had asked for paper and pen.

Sudirman give the paper and pen while he was trying to persuade offender to get down. However, the perpetrator had already fallen to the asphalt road. The incident occurred at 01:00 pm.

He added, with wear white shirt and blue trouser, the man fell to the prone position. Then, the blood flowed from the ears, mouth, and nose of the man.

"Yes he passed away at the scene," he said.

He alleged the man without identity was depression. 15 minutes after the fall, he was taken to the Hasan Sadikin Hospital by the police officers.
