Jokowi receives credential letters from eight ambassadors

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo received credential letters from eight ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary, whose status are designated as residents and non-residents in Indonesia, on Tuesday.

The president accepted the letters from the ambassadors in the credential room in the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.

Some state officers who accompanied Jokowi during the event were Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, State Secretary Pratikno, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.

Some ambassadors who handed over the credential letters to Jokowi were Serbian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Slobodan Marinkovic, Ethiopian Ambassador Extraordinary and Elenipotentiary Arega Hailu Teffera, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Myanmar Aung Htoo, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Afghanistan Roya Rahmani.

Moreover, Timor Leste's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Alberto Xavier Pereira Carlos, Ghana's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Benjamin Clement Eghan, Bostwana's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Lapologang C. Lekoa, and Lithuanian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Egidijus Meilunas also handed over their credential letters.

The eight ambassadors also held a meeting with President Jokowi in the Oval Room of the Merdeka Palace.
