REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, WONOSOBO -- A truck, loaded with fertilizers truck with number plate AG8621UR allegedly brake failure hit police post, at the junction Kertek, Wonosobo regency, Central Java, on Tuesday (24/5) night. The accident make driver Sriyadi and helper Sriyono killed and immediately evacuated to hospital Wonosobo.
A witness, Budiyanto said truck loaded with fertilizers is coming from the Waterford to Wonosobo. Allegedly when entering the way in the region Kertek suffered brake failure and crash into police station which is located at the t-junction.
"Before crashing into police post, the truck crashed into three cars in front of that vehicle and truck just stop after crashing into a police station,’’ he said, on Tuesday.
He said the truck driver and helper squashed in truck bodies and buried in hundreds of sacks of fertilizers.
The victims and truck only can be evacuated by heavy equipment to pull the truck.
Head of Wonosobo Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant (AKBP) Azis Ardiansyah said Kertek is the path of accident-prone areas. The roads along seven kilometers are downhill.
"I remind to riders on the track to always be vigilant and careful, and do not forget to check the conditions of the vehicle before riding," he said.
