REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- N219 aircraft made in Indonesia was officially displayed for the first time by PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI). The display of N219 aircraft was inaugurated by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Luhut Binsar Panjaitan.
"I saw this N219 aircraft which was created by Indonesian people. I'm proud of them," said Luhut in Hangar of N219 Aircraft, Bandung, West Java, Thursday (10/12).
He added that this aircraft was suitable to be used in remote areas. N219 aircraft has been designed as transportation in hilly areas.

He hoped in the future Indonesia could become competitive countries in development of aircraft industry. The aircraft would not only be marketed to domestic market but also to other countries.
"I believe PT DI can be more competitive and advanced," he added.
N219 aircraft was the result of development undertaken by PT DI since March 2007. This aircraft has a capacity of 19 passengers with two turboprop engines. It has ability of 1580 NM with a maximum speed of 213 knots.
