REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- An Indonesia female worker in Saudi Arabia, Satinah, was finally free from death penalty on charge of homicide. Satina who was born in Ungaran, Semarang, Central Java was successfully repatriated, and was scheduled to arrive in Jakarta on Wednesday (2/9) afternoon.
National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers (BNP2TKI) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs will pick and accompany Satinah for medical treatment until her repatriation to Ungaran.
“Satinah will arrive at Cengkareng Terminal 2 about 11:00 am,"said the head of BNP2TKI, Nusron Wahid in Jakarta, Wednesday (2/9).
Director of Empowerment of BNP2TKI, Arini Rahyuwati, was already at Soekarno Hatta airport. Arini said that when Satinah arrives, she will be taken to hospital to check her health condition.
"We have coordinated with her family in Semarang regarding Satinah’s repatriation,” she added.
On 30th August 2015, Attorney of Indonesian Embassy, Radhwan Al Musigheh, which handled cases of Satinah bint Jumadi Amad who was facing death penalty, informed that the administrative case of Satinah has been completed and Satinah was transferred from Buraidah prison to Riyadh prison, to immediately be repatriated.
In the case, Satinah was sentenced by death penalty because she was charged with murder of her employer, Nura Al Gharib (70n years old), on 17th June 2007.
