REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The addition of main tools of TNI defense equipment still continues. The latest, Minister of Defense, Ryamizard Ryacudu, plans to add one squadron of aircraft for Jupiter Aerobatic Team (JAT) Air Force, by buying 12 aircraft type KT-IB Wong Bee from South Korea.

He said, the price of the aircraft made in South Korea is not too expensive and the budget is available. However, he was reluctant to specify how much total allocation of funds prepared for the aircraft.

"There is addition of 10 to 12 aircraft for Jupiter Aerobatic Team and aviation school,” he explained, in Yogyakarta, Wednesday (26/8).

Due to the limited number of aircraft, the aviation school and the Jupiter Aerobatic Team had to take turns in using the aircraft. Therefore, Ryamizard encouraged Head of Lanud Adi Soetjipto and AU Headquarters to immediately submit a detailed request for additional aircraft type  KT-IB Wong Bee.

If it is realized, he hoped, the aerobatic team and aviation schools do not have to wait for each other when they want to use the aircraft for training.

"The budgets are already available," he added.
