Seven Indonesian films shown in Poland film festival

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LONDON -- Seven films directed by Indonesian famous director, Joko Anwar and Nia Dinata, were shown in a prestigious film festival “The 16th Summer Film Academy in Zwierzyniec, Poland”, from 7th to 16th August 2015.

“The films were Arisan, Janji Joni, Kala, Pintu Terlarang, Modus Anomali, and Madame X. Those films were being watched by 2,000 spectators,” said Councillor Diana Roos Iskandar, in London, Tuesday (18/8).

Joko Anwar and Nia Dinata who also present during the event, stated that they were very happy and proud. Their films were shown with other films, such as films directed by famous world director, Aleksander Sakurov from Rusia and Chang Dong Lee from South Korea.

"The 16th Summer Film Academy" is an annual film festival organized by the association of China Europa and the Polish Film Institute, Ministry of Culture and the City Government of Zwierzyniec.

The festival, held since 1999, is focused on films directed by world directors, and has become favorite place for film lovers from Poland and other European countries. Dozens of film screened during the festival.
