REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Head of Pemuda Muhammadiyah Dahnil Anzar Simandjuntak said, Tanwir Muhammadiyah had chosen 39 names to became candidate of Muhammadiyah leaders. Those name will be discussed in Muktamar or congress on Monday (3/8).
Anzar added, 2.600 participants involve in Muktamar. They have a right to select which names who will be the next leaders. Later, from 39 names, only 13 names selected.
“Next, those 13 peoples will lead Muhammadiyah, and one of them will chose as chairman,” Anzar said, Ahad (2/8).
Among the strong candidates are Abdullah Mufti, Yunahar Ilyas, Busyro Muqaddas and Anwar Abbas. Those candidates believed have a similar capacity on science. But he hope, the next chairman is a scholars who understand and comprehend Al-Quran verses, both qauliyah as well as kauniyah.
The leader, also need to be a good and wise preacher who can understand Muslim problems now.
