Australia plans to establish consulate office in Makassar

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Paul Grigson met with Vice President Jusuf Kalla at the Vice President's office on Wednesday (29/7). According to VP, in this meeting, Grigson expressed intention of his government to establish a consulate office in Makassar.

"He was conveying several things,  how the relationship between Indonesia -Australia in the future, the economy, plans to establish a consulate in Makassar, as well as his programs in Indonesia," said JK in the Vice President's office, Jakarta, on Wednesday, July 29.

Not only that, the Vice President and the Australian Ambassador also discussed related to bilateral relations as well as economic cooperation between the two countries. Because, during the last few months, the relationship between Indonesia and Australia was disrupted so hopefully with this meeting it could help improve relations between the two countries.

"Certainly over the last six months our relationships were bad, then how on the second half become better," said JK.
