The incumbent becomes the first registrant in KPU of West Sumatera

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PADANG -- Registration of candidates for the simultaneous local elections on December 9, 2015 opened from July 26 to 28, 2015. In West Sumatra, on the second day of registration, the incumbent candidate, Irwan Prayitno was registering together with Nasrul Abit in the local of General Election Commission (KPU).

Irwan who served as West Sumatra Governor and Nasul Abit as South Coast (Pessel) Regent were registering as regional head candidates which promoted by the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and Gerindra Party. This regional head candidates became the first participant to enroll as a candidate for governor and deputy governor in KPU of West Sumatra.

KPU chairman of West Sumatra, Amnasmen said that he asked the elections supervisory committee (Bawaslu) of West Sumatera to examine the documents brought by this regional head candidates. He said that the candidate would soon undergo a medical examination on Tuesday, July 28, tomorrow.

"The validity and completeness of the registration document that has been accepted will be announced on August 3, 2015," he said in Padang on Monday, July 27.
