Air Force sends home 94 bodies of Hercules C-130 victims

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Until Friday, July 3, there were already 94 bodies of the Hercules C-130 aircraft victims were sent back to their hometown. Repatriation was done by land routes or air routes. Head of Information of Airbase Soewondo, Medan, North Sumatra, Jhoni Tarigan, said the number counted until 11:00 WIB.

A number of bodies which return via the land routes, he said, immediately picked up by the family. Other bodies escorted by ambulance to their respective homelands.

Jhoni continued, there were eight bodies were dispatched from Suwondo air base on Friday afternoon. A total of five bodies dispatched to the Ranai Airport, Natuna Islands. Two other bodies were flown to Pekanbaru, Riau. One body was flown to Abdul Rachman Saleh Airbase, Malang.

"Eight bodies have been included in the total number of bodies were repatriated until Friday afternoon. We still continue to carry out repatriation to complete. Currently we are waiting for more bodies to be repatriated," he said.
