REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama and State-owned Enterprises Minister, Rini Soemarno met in State-owned Enterprises Ministry, on Thursday, July 2, to discuss about the development of high speed-rail and light rapid transit (LRT).

“We discussed high speed-rail and LRT. Adhi Karya Company also will build LRT from Bekasi to Grogol. We just sat down together to discuss about it,”said Ahok, nickname of Basuki, ini City Hall, on Thursday, July 2.

For the construction of high speed-rail, Basuki said Jakarta was asked to acquire land at Halim. However, Ahok admitted for land acquisition will not be easy, because they have to build flats in advance, if want to relocate the residents from the settlement.

"They want to place all of high speed-rail in Halim, but at Halim I guess it does not easy have to displace 1,200 households. It does not easy," said Ahok.

Ahok explained further that he offered place in Manggarai. But to land in Manggarai were still considered inadequate.

"We offered Manggarai, but it seemed who want to invest high speed-rail from China, want a wide place," said Basuki.
