Deadline for airline financial statement is extended

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- It is passing the deadline for submission of financial statements of the air carrier on April 30, 2015. However, there are still more than half of scheduled commercial air transport or not scheduled which haven’t submitted their financial statements. The Ministry of transportation is finally granting an extension of time to gather financial statements until June 30, 2015.

Director of Civil Aviation Ministry of Transportation Suprasetyo revealed the extension given to the airlines by requirements that airlines must remain committed to submit financial reports.

“Because there are still many who do not provide reports or are still in the process, so that today we give leeway until June 30. With a permanent record of internal financial reports, or in-house report, and submit a certificate of public accounting,” explains Suprasetyo, Tuesday, May 5.

However, the airline which cannot meet the deadline for extensions of time proficiency level will be sanctioned. The heaviest sanction is the freezing and air transport operating license revocation.

Sanctions remain a warning will be given, in the form of an announcement to the public through the website of the Ministry of Transportation, administrative fines, and notification to the Center for Financial Transaction Reporting and Analysis (PPATK). If such measures are not effective, then the Air Operator Certificate will be frozen.

As announced by the Ministry of Transportation, for scheduled commercial air transport, the airline with the orderly had submitted financial reports are PT Garuda Indonesia, PT Travel Express Aviation Service, PT Citilink Indonesia, PT Transnusa Aviation Mandiri, PT ASI Pudjiastuti Aviation, and PT Jatayu Gelang Sejahtera.

While the airlines have not reported their financial statements, is LION Air Group (PT Lion Mentari Airlines, PT Wings Abadi , PT Batik Air). In addition, PT Indonesia Air Asia,PT Sriwijaya Air, PT Trigana Air, PT Nam Air, and other airlines. Although there are no financial statements, the eleven airlines have handed over an official letter from a public accountant stating that they are in the process of audit by public accountants.
