REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- After a public repercussion with his plans to legalize prostitution in Jakarta, Governor of Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, tweeted on his account. He said that the plan was impossible.

He look at public comment of Jakarta's residents about a plan that he instigated. "It means that the public is still concerned with the moral of the nation. Great," he said.

"At least the society's eyes open to the fact that prostitution exists. It is around us. Many who pretend not to know," he continued. He said, people did not want prostitution in their neighborhood. Except for people who get benefit from the illegal practice.

At the end of the booms, Ahok appealed to the public to report if there was prostitution. "Therefore if there is prostitution, let the public report to the authorities. Not only moral damage, but also illegal," he said.
