REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian mixed doubles pair Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir advanced to the quarterfinals of Yonex All England Open 2015 on Thursday after beating South Korean pair.
Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir managed to beat South Korean pair Sol Kyu Choi/Yoo Jung Chae 21-12 and 21-7 in 27 minutes at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham.
"We did not underestimate our opponents although their rating is lower than ours. We focused on the game from the beginning and never gave them a chance to develop their game," Liliyana said as quoted by the public relations and social media team of the All-Indonesia Badminton Association (PBSI) on Thursday.
In the quarterfinals, the Indonesian pair will play against host Chris Adcock/Gabrielle Adcock who have outclassed Indonesian mixed double pair Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Greysia Polii 21-12 and 21-18.
