REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Newly appointed Attorney General HM Prasetyo said wiretapping could help government fighting corruption. He believes using wiretap can speed up to find the corruption suspect.

"It takes time to arrest the suspects. Wiretap can speed up the operation. Straight to jail," Prasetyo said on Monday, November 24.

Attorney General Office already has a device for wiretap. However, government hasn't issued laws on the usage of wiretap for Attorney General Office.

"Despite having no laws, it is not useless. We can use it to track suspects, convicts and fugitive," he said.
