REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta has begun the construction of a station wall pattern (guide wall) in Setiabudi, Central Jakarta, and will soon start building a diaphragm wall (D-Wall), as well.

"At present, MRT Jakarta is in the process of building a guide wall in Setiabudi," the President Director of MRT Jakarta, Dono Boestami, said here on Saturday (18/20).

Boestami noted that to make way for the construction of the guide wall, which is meant to be a part of the Setiabudi MRT Station, the eastern TransJakarta lane has been temporarily closed.

"While the guide wall is being built, TransJakarta vehicles will have to use the regular fast lane," he stated.

Boestami added that the TransJakarta lane was being closed only temporarily and that it will be back in operation once the construction of the guide wall was completed.

The construction of the guide wall, which began on October 17, is expected to be completed within a week, by October 24.

According to the president director, MRT Jakarta will establish the primary structure of the station wall, or the D-wall, once the construction of the guide wall was complete.

He affirmed that they were scheduled to start building the D-wall on the east side of Setiabudi on November 6 and would complete it by November 20.

"We apologize to all motorists in the Setiabudi area for the inconvenience caused," Dono remarked.
