Prabowo: Foreign parties intervene the presidential election

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Presidential candidate No. 1, Prabowo Subianto has several times said that the existence of foreign intervention in 2014 presidential election. He said it again when speaking in the first trial of disputed general election at Constitutional Court On Wednesday.

"It should not money or the owner of big capital or the foreign party who are behind the presidential election," Prabowo said on Wednesday.

Prabowo revealed that the alleged foreign intervention in the election. According to him, there are foreign parties who invited regional heads in Indonesia. However, he did not mention, which countries did it.

"Certain foreign countries invited regents, mayors and tried to influence them. We considered that it was foreign interference. Imagine, Indonesia's presidential election was influenced by foreign country," he added.

Prabowo also said that fraud had occurred in general election implementation. He had tens of thousands of witnesses to prove the fraud practices. He hopes that the Court can implement the fairest trial process that will be carried out later.

Ismail Maqdir, one of Prabowo's team conveyed main points of the petition. He said, if the election went honestly, the final voting result should be different. Based on data of C1 form revealed by Prabowo's team, the pair No. 1 got a total of 67,139,153 votes, while Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Jusuf Kalla received 66,435,124 votes.

"We will prove all C1 forms that we have from 52,000 polling stations," Maqdir said.
