Seven districts in Yakuhimo vote on Thursday due to logistics problems

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAYAPURA - A total of seven districts in Yakuhimo regency, Papua vote for president and vice president on Thursday, July 10, 2014, due to logistics problems. 

The seven districts are Sela, Kalamdua, Koluan, Soloikma, Kayo, Duren and Korupun district. Yakuhimo Police Chief, Ade Jaja said that logistics for the seven districts had been distributed to the regency on 06.45 local time. 

"Four batches consisted of three helicopters and one cessna had already distributed the logistics," Jaja said recently.

Police officers must complete all tasks to facilitate the general election. General Election Commission (KPU) Commissioner, Ferry Kurnia Rizkiyansyah said that there were 14 districts that had not made the voting and vote counting on Wednesday due to bad weather and logistics problems. KPU conducted additional election mechanism after the cancellation involving the Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) of Yakuhimo District.
