REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The electability of president and vice presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa continues to rise, unlike Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Jusuf Kalla, which is still stagnant. Political observer of Charta Politica, Arya Fernandes said that like the share prices, Jokowi's electability had already fallen and difficult to hike though the potential was still there.

According to him, presidential debate has a great effect to swing voters and undecided voters. Prabowo and Hatta managed to attract both kinds of voters in four rounds of debate.

"His performance, the rhetoric, body language, vision, mission are so systematic. Prabowo and Hatta are more able to hit voters. The evaluation of both presidential pairs in the four rounds of debate will affect voters," Fernandes said recently as reported by Erik Purnama Putra.

Prabowo's humble attitude increasingly influenced voters to give him support. Chairman of Board of Supervisors of Gerindra Party did not hestitate to praise his political opponents during the campaign in various regions. According to Fernandes, the praise was positively appreciated by voters.

If Prabowo and Hatta perform well in the last round of presidential debate and continue to uphold the political manners, Fernandes believes that the Number 1 candidate will win the election. Based on recent survey of Indonesia Research Centre (IRC), Prabowo's electability has reached 47.5 percent compared to Jokowi (43 percent).

The survey was conducted through face to face interviews of 1,200 respondents in 33 provinces in Indonesia on June 14-20, 2014. The result, the presidential debate affected voters and candidate's electability.
