REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BEIJING -- The political and security situation in Indonesia is very dynamic prior to the upcoming 2014 general elections, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political, Law and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto said here on Friday.

"All election related activities are continuing to operate, and every problem can be managed well," the minister said, after issuing directives to chiefs, deputy chiefs, and staffers of all Indonesian representative offices in the Asia-Pacific region.

Djoko explained that the names of the presidential candidates have begun emerging and were being analyzed and surveyed by the political parties' survey institutes, while data from the General Election Commission (KPU) and Home Affairs Minister continues to be synchronized.

"It is very dynamic, although the issue of eligible voters' lists is still under the process of verification and clarification," the security minister said, adding that some 10 thousand bits of election data still need to be clarified.

He also said contradictory data between the General Election Commission and Home Affairs Ministry was natural, because the bases of their calculations were different.
