Traffic congestion reported in Puncak-Cianjur

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIANJUR - Traffic congestion was reported in Puncak-Cianjur, West Java. Vehicles of tourism travelers mix with vehicles of homebound travelers snaked as long as ten kilometer towards Bogor.

Queue of vehicles were seen since Saturday afternoon. However, Cianjur district police has imposed one way system as density volume of vehicles from opposite direction. 

In fact, similar situation exists in some alternate paths. Traffic congestion makes long lines of queue and vehicles were trapped for dozens of minutes.

"I suggest travelers who want to go to Bogor, Jakarta, and its surrounding areas to use alternative routes, in Jonggol and Sukabumi," Cianjur police district officer, Irwandi said on Sunday.

Police have posted a number of notice boards that Puncak lane road was in congestion. Congestion is also visibled in Cianjur track to Bandung. Vehicles were immobile and snaked up four kilometer. Major factor in this queue vehicles is due to a number of markets along these lanes worsen the traffic flow, such as Ciranjang market and Rajamandala market.
