REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - National Narcotics Agency (BNN) expects to catch drug kingpin behind Raffi Ahmad's drug case. "We hope to catch the network of drug dealers behind this case," Spokesman of BNN, Sumirat Dwiyanto, said on Wednesday.

A TV host, Raffi Ahmad, was arrested on Sunday morning during a raid at his house. He was arrested along with other 16 people, including a politician after BNN found two cannabis and amphetamine in his house.

BNN currently still probes Raffi, a politician Wanda Hamidah and his eight friends to find out the main suspect in the case. Other seven people have been released yesterday.

Dwiyanto explained that investigators found synthetic cathinone substance on the drug scene. After being synthesized, the substance will give stronger effect. Excessive cathinone usage can cause excessive euphoria, hallucinations and behavior disorders.
