Sandiaga to be examined by Jakarta Metro Police tomorrow

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta Metro Police will summon Jakarta deputy governor Sandiaga Uno on Thursday (January 18). Sandiaga was reportedly to be summoned related to a case of land embezzlement, in which has implicated his colleague.

"We have scheduled him (Sandiaga) to be summoned tomorrow and it's our second summon to him," said Jakarta Metro Police spokesperson Argo Yuwono on Wednesday (January 17).

Sandiaga was summoned by Jakarta Metro Police on October 11, 2017. He missed the summon and his lawyer at that time asked the summon to be postponed to allow for his inauguration ceremony as deputy governor.

Sandiaga was reported by Fransiska Kumalawati because his relation with Andreas Tjahjadi, his business colleague. Sandiaga and Andreas became the board of directors of PT Japirex in 2012.

Both of them are alleged to have sold 3,000 square meters of land which located at Curug Raya street, Tangerang, Banten. Fransiska said, the report was for land certificate no.1020, which was reversed from Djoni Hidayat to PT Japirex without a deed of sale & purchase (AJB) and has been sold to third person.

In a letter of discharge, Fransiska said, the land remained on behalf of the first party. According to her, there was no agreement between Djoni, Sandiaga, and Andreas related to the sale of the land.

Fransiska had also reported Sandiaga and Andreas in March 2017. Police the appointed Andreas as a suspect and said Sandiaga was not involve in the case.
