REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Regional Secretary (Sekda) of DKI Jakarta Saefullah assessed that the draft bylaws (Raperda) related to Jakarta bay reclamation is still far from finish. He disclosed, Jakarta Governor-elect and his deputy, Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno, might even disapprove the draft.

Saefullah said, as the executive, governor has the right to reject or disapprove the discussion of reclamation draft bylaws. If Anies preferred to reject it, then regional regulation on Jakarta bay reclamation will never be issued.

The bylaws must apporved by Jakarta provincial government and Regional People's Representative Assembly (DPRD), Saefullah explained.

"(Anies and Sandi) might not agree. But, whatever the decision is, the public will monitor," he said in Jakarta parliament building, Wednesday (October 11).

Saefullah was reluctant to think about the possibility. However, he believed, discussion of the reclamation draft bylaws can not be completed in Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat tenure.

"Mr. Djarot got two days left. I think it is impossible," he said.
