REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan confessed there was no schedule to meet with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). He also claimed if the meeting occured, it would not discuss about Jakarta's bay reclamation project.

"We still do not know the schedule of meeting with President and maybe we do not discuss about that (reclamation)," Anies said on Wednesday (October 18).

Earlier on Wednesday, deputy governor of Jakarta, Sandiaga Uno, said he and Anies will have a meeting with Jokowi imminently. 

Sandiaga said, reclamation project will be one of the issues to be discussed with central government .

"We have heard the people's aspiration on reclamation and our job is to stop reclamation. We are looking for a process that is really awaited by all citizens of Jakarta," Sandiaga said on Wednesday (October 18).

He also asked all citizens in this city to be patient regarding the reclamation policy.

Sandiaga said the most important thing on the issue of reclamation was the openness and justice in every process.

"We really know about what many people asked and our job is to stop reclamation. We are looking for a process that is really awaited by all citizens of Jakarta," Sandiaga said.
