REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- People of Jokowi Army (LRJ) and Pro Jokowi (Projo), volunteer groups supporting President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), have reported Indonesian musician Ahmad Dhani to the police. They believed Dhani has insulted the president while he was attending peaceful rally on Friday (11/4).

"We felt Ahmad Dhani has insulted the President during his statement at November 4th rally with profane words," said LRJ Chairman, Riano Oscha as confirmed on Monday (11/7).

Riano said members of LRJ and Projo witnessed Dhani oration at the rally. "Ahmad Dhani spoke the profane words to the Head of State in public area. We can not tolerate that," Riano said.

During peaceful protest, Dhani said obscene words because President did not wish to meet tens of thousands of Muslims who demanded law enforcement of Jakarta Governor (inactive) Basuki Tjahaja Purnama due to religious blasphemy.

Meanwhile, Dhani's lawyer Ramadhan Alamsyah said on Tuesday (11/8), he will report LRJ and Projo to the police for alleged defamation. He said the video used as evidence was incomplete. "The substance of Dhani's oration has changed due to the video cut."
