Indonesia's economy grows 4.7 percent in Semester II

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) said Indonesian economy grew 4.67 percent in the second quarter of this year slowing from Q1's growth of 4.72 percent.

Therefore, the country's economy grew only 4.7 percent in the first half of the year, the agency said here on Thursday.

The country's Gross Domestic Products reached Rp2,866.9 trillion based on the current price and tRp2,239.3 trillion based on the constant price in 2010.

The growth in the Q2 was lower year-on-year from 5.03 percent in the same period last year.

In term of production, the highest growth by sector in Q2 was the educational service growing 12.16 percent and in spending the highest growth was in household consumption growing 4.97 percent.
