Kadin promotes business and investment at Indonesia eastern regions

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Indonesia worked hard to promote the potential areas of eastern Indonesia through the national working meeting held on Monday, May 25, at Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta.

Deputy Chairman of Kadin East Regional Coordinator Annar Salahuddin Sampetoding said the workshop also intended to raise business cooperation and foreign investment.

"Kadin will encourage the realization of business cooperation and investments through partnership program" P to P "(public to private partnership) and the private to private partnership, which are model of private participation in the national program for the acceleration of economic development of the eastern region of Indonesia," he said.

As for the acceleration priority, he said, is divided into physical development and human resources. As for the acceleration of development, he explained include fisheries, agriculture, plantation, development of infrastructure facilities and pre facilities of infrastructures (energy, roads and bridges, drinking water, waste management, irrigation reservoirs, ports, airports, until housing), the manufacture industrial associated with industry processing, development of education and health sector, to the development of society.

"Kadin took the initiative with the support of the provincial government of Indonesia eastern region and central government to prepare the venue for the promotion and to bridge business cooperation and investment, especially on the eastern region," said Annar.
