Five out of 17 people arrested positively use drugs

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Five out of 17 people get caught on drug scene positively using drugs. The 17 people arrested during a raid at the house of a TV host, Raffi Ahmad, in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, on Sunday. Among them are three celebrities and a female politician. 

"After urine test, two people are using cannabis, two other were using amphetamine, while another one using both," Spokesman of BNN, Sumirat, said on Monday. He added that Raffi's test was negative.

Raffi and his 16 friends are still undergoing hair drug testing. Official at BNN Laboratorium, Kuswardani, said the it would take a long time to get the result of hair drug testing as it needed high precision.

A politician from National Mandate Party (PAN), Wanda Hamidah, was also among those who were arrested. Wanda's lawyer, Dedi Eka, said the celebrity turned to be politician was being set up. Eka explained that Wanda was accompanying her friends to Raffi's house when BNN raided his house.

"She was there by accident. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time," he said.
