REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesia shows low prevalence in Alzheimer cases, due to tofu and tempeh (fermented soy) consumption in the people's daily diet, an Indonesian neurologist Andreas Harry, said on the 12th International Alzheimer Congress 2012 in Vancouver, Canada. His statement was appreciated by other specialists and analysts who attended the event.
The event was held by Alzheimer's Association International Conference on Alzheimer's Diseases (AAICAD). The congress was started on July 15 and will end up on Thursday. It also discussed on the cause of Alzheimer. He hopes that the further research on the cause of Alzheimer can be brought up next year in 13th International Conference Alzheimer Disease 2013 (ICAD ke-13) on July 2013 in Boston, US.
