Didin: TNI and Muslims are the strengths of Indonesia

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Muslim Intellectual Didin Hafidhuddin said Indonesian Military (TNI) and Muslims are inseparable as the two great strengths of Indonesia. He said the bond between TNI and Muslims are strong. 

In history, Didin remarked, TNI and Muslims relations are always harmonious. They protect and respect each other. Nevertheless, their relations must be strengthened.

"Historically, the relation of TNI and Muslims has always been very strong and it should be strengthened by not denying each others," Didin told Republika.co.id, on Thursday (October 5).

Didin who is also Professor at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) expected Muslims to maintain their relationship not only to TN, but also to National Police.

Furthermore, Didin congratulated TNI for its 72nd anniversary. He hoped the Indonesian military forces could be the guardian of the people, the nation and the state.
