Eid holydaymakers throng Bandung's recreational centers

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- Multitude of people thronged recreational centers in Bandung, West Java, to spend their Eid al-Fitr, or locally known as Lebaran, holidays.

Popular recreational centers in Bandung, such as Lembang, Tangkuban Prahu, Bandung Zoo, and Ciwidey, among others, have witnessed an influx of thousands of Lebaran holidaymakers since the first day of Lebaran on Wednesday.

The visitors to the recreational centers in Bandung are not only from West Java but also from Jakarta, Depok, Bekasi, Bogor, and Tangerang.

In Bandung, the iconic location to visit is the Tangkuban Prahu Mountains in Lembang, some 25 kilometers from the Bandung city center.

In Tangkuban Prahu, the visitors can view the scenic panorama of the three main craters, including the large crater. Although it is no longer active, the visitors can still observe the outburst of sulfur in some places.

In addition to Tangkuban Prahu, holidaymakers flocked to the nearby Maribya waterfall in the Cikole area and the culinary center along the road to the Ciater hot spring recreational center.

Bandung is an ideal city in various aspects as it is a trading center for clothing and handicrafts as well as offers scenic natural tourist attractions.
