REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MUKOMUKO -- The district administration of Muko Muko against the policy of the central government, allows officials cars to be used for Idul Fitri transport.

"It is still allowed. We still allow (using the official cars for Idul Fitri transport)," secretary of the district administration Syafkani said here on Thursday.

Syafkani made the statement in reaction to the policy of the Central Government banning the use of official cars for personal transport including during Idul Fitri.

Vice President Jusuf Kalla, on recommendation from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), has said that official cars may not be used for non official services.

Syafkani said the district administration allowed the use of official cars for Idul Fitri transport as based on earlier experience, no official cars had been used far beyond the district border.

"The farthest they went was Bengkulu to meet the provincial officials including the governor , and police officials and chief prosecutor on the first day of Idul Fitri," he said.
