REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Chairman of Rabithah Alawiyah, Habib Zein bin Umat Smith, expressed his sadness in seeing many Muslim preachers were being crashed only because of their different ways in preaching.  "I was sad when there were a preacher with too soft preaching and the one with too hard preaching were pitted," said Zein in a visit to Republika office on Friday.

He emphasized that every preacher had their own ways of preaching and they could not be pitted.  It would make the Muslims confused. He stated his support to a soft preaching as did by Habib Luthfi bin Yahya and the hard one as by Habib Rizieq Shihab.

However, Habib Zein reminded the people that there were no preachers with an intention to disunite Indonesia. He was sure all the preachers absolutely wanted to keep the unity of the nation.

Habib Zein said Rabithah Adawiyah taught the way of preaching without forgetting the root of their culture. He added that it was also the home of the habibs who commonly own their ma'had. "Rabithah Alawiyah had such a company culture with five pillars and the pillars safeguard us," said Zein.
