Pertamina offers free 2 liters of fuel for those who read one juz of Quran

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- State-owned oil company PT Pertamina Marketing Operation Region V (MOR V) has teamed up with Nurul Hayat Foundation in the program 'Read 1 Juz (parts of Quran) get 2 Liters of fuel (BBK) for free'.

The program is running from 16 to 30 June, 2016 in 59 gas stations spread across East Java province.

General Manager of Marketing Operation Region V Ageng Giriyono said, the program is open to the public and societies. People can register at the mosque in gas stations and will be served by the officers or mustamik of Nurul Hayat foundation related reading the juz of Quran.

After the participants read the Quran and complete, then Mustamik will give vouchers of BBK in accordance with the number of juz that has been read. BBK vouchers can only be used on the same day.

"This is a form of our contribution to encourage people to add worship activities especially in Ramadan through recite the Quran," he said on Monday (20/6).

Chairman of Amil's Institute (BAZNAZ) Nurul Hayat Muhammad Molik added his institution support the program and will oversee that the essence of this program to encourage people to read the Quran in Ramadan and maintained.

"Not only read the juz due to free fuel, but how it can keep the intention to recite to get the blessing of Ramadan," he added.

Besides support the reading of the Quran, Nurul Hayat Foundation will giving socialization on the importance of charity and zakat (religious tax) until open booth to accept zakat at gas stations.
