40 hajj pilgrims from Klaten fail to depart

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KLATEN –- Hajj pilgrims not always has smooth pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Although already in the list of pilgrims in Hajj season 2015, a variety of obstacles made several pilgrims failed to fly to Mecca. There were 40 pilgrims from Klaten, Central Java, canceled to fly on 14th and 15th September.

According to the Head Office of Ministry of Religious Affairs in Klaten, Mustari, Monday (31/8), a variety of reasons make 40 pilgrims were canceled the pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Among the reasons, the was health reason that did not allow pilgrims to perform the pilgrimage. There was also a reason of sudden family interests.

Hajj pilgrims who supposed to go to Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year were 800 people. However, due to various reasons, there were only 760 pilgrims who will fly in 14th and 15 September.

“The reasons were health problems that make the pilgrims sick or there was a sudden death of one of the pilgrims family, etc. So they cancelled to leave,” Mustari added.

Ministry of Religious Affairs had prepared for the departure and arrival of the pilgrims. So that there will be no problems occurred.
