REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, INDRAMAYU - Government will increase budget for religious education in 2013. With the additional 2 trillion IDR, the budget will be 40 trillion IDR. The step is believed to enhance the quality of religious education and religion.

"Government will assist every religious education institution in Indonesia," Minister of Religious Affairs, Suryadarma Ali, said on Friday.

Ali said the management of religious education in Indonesia, such as Islamic boardingschool was currently held by ulama and private while government only contributed to 8-10 percent.
