REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PADANG -- West Sumatra Provincial Government to promote Mandeh Tourism Area in Regional Investment Forum (RIF) on October 15-17 that held in capital of the Padang province. This event considered to be a rare opportunity to introduce local tourism more broadly.

"This is rare opportunity to promote our tourism to Indonesian Ambassador abroad and all ambassadors of our friend countries in Indonesia, as well as to the entrepreneurs," said Deputy Governor of West Sumatra Nasrul Abit in Padang, Wednesday (October 4).

According to Nasrul, if that opportunity could be utilised properly, all the ambassadors who come would be "word of mouth" promotor of West Sumatra tourism.

Simultaneously, national and internationals entrepreneurs could also explore the possibility to invest in developing tourist destinations and infrastructure in West Sumatra.

Therefore, he asked all relevant agencies to prepare seriously the destinations to be visited. Not only in terms of beauty and hygiene but also from the comfort, including the availability of toilet.

"This is very important because if they are dissapointed, certainly our hope to promote tourism will not be realized," Nasrul added.

RIF 2017 has a number of agendas such as seminars, discussions, business meetings and exhibitions. Around 100 national and international companies were also invited to attend this event.

Among the ambassadors of Republic of Indonesia that was confirmed to attend RIF 2017 were Ambassador to Australia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Mexico.

Meanwhile, ambassadors of friend countries were from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, PEA and Consul General Singapore in Medan.
